Why Strength Train?

Welcome! I’m Geve (they/them), your coach at Little Ram. I’m a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Functional Strength Coach, as well as a Certified Trauma Informed Fitness Instructor. I’m so glad you’re here!

Strength looks different for everyone, and strength training should too. A lot of the fitness world is based on telling people that they are not enough: not thin enough, not muscular enough, not cis enough, not straight enough. I founded Little Ram because I believe that your body is already enough, and you deserve to feel strong and badass, whatever that means to you.

Some of my proudest moments as a coach have been seeing my students use the skills they gain to enhance their everyday lives. Like the woman who, for the first time in a long time, could confidently decline a cashier’s offer to help her carry her groceries. With a grin, she told me how she’d looked at him over the top of her glasses and said, “Dear, please. I work out.” and strode happily off with her bags. Seeing a student’s pride in their increased strength and independence brings me joy every single time.

I help my students get stronger in the gym, so that they can do more of what they love outside of it: because fitness should be functional. Each person’s body, goals, and needs are unique, so programming is personalized to help you grow in the ways that you want to.

Click below to set up your free consultation, and learn how I can help you achieve more confident, empowered movement. All consultations and sessions are either virtual or outdoors while we ride out this pandemic, but I am so looking forward to returning to in-person training when it is safe to do so!

In the meantime, there are so many ways to get stronger using minimal to no equipment, house hold items, and the weight of your own body. Let’s get creative together!
